Space Hunters Is In A Class All By Themselves\r \r I worked with Eric in my North Park Slope move. Eric ensured he was available at every step of the process; I could always reach him via phone and he arranged for me to see rooms around my schedule. Further, he ensured I was comfortable and knowledgeable about every part of the process from viewing to move-in. The entire room hunting process with Eric was an extremely pleasurable experience, unlike the headaches and annoyances that it often causes! I highly recommend Eric and his room services to anyone in need. more

Knowledge And Advanced Technology, This Agency Has Got It\r \r Especially in a business known for its high-pressure agents, ""above and beyond"" barely does justice to the incredible service I got from John and the staff at this agency when I was looking for a room in Park Slope, Brooklyn. John was honest, and his low-key style was refreshing. Sensing that I was uncertain about the first room that I considered applying for, John suggested I sleep on it before settling for it. Ultimately, I found the perfect room in a brownstone building whose management company guided me patiently and with good humor through a vetting process that was as pain free as dealing with their room service. Space Hunters Did Very Nice Job, John Is Verty Nice Man \r \r I'm a real estate agent that just moved to New York from Atlanta, Georgia. It seems to me that a room rental agent is required to do a lot of research regarding each house and property, including gathering information about the history of the landlord's rental practices. Luckily I got hooked up with this agency and while they may not be in a class all by themselves, it sure doesn't take long to take roll call! The operators of this agency have got it goin on. The Staff At Space Hunters Are On Top Of Things??\r \r Looking for a room was leaving me with an enormous sense of dread, until I met with the staff at this room agency. They got an immediate sense of what I was looking for and narrowed what would normally be an overwhelming search down to just a few minutes of top choices. I had plenty of time to look, but didn’t need it - they found me the place I wanted that quickly. Their down-to-earth style mixed with professionalism, plus the fact that they're just pretty darned cool, made my experience feel like just a great time hanging around the neighborhood. \r more

Working With This Agency Was A Pleasant Encounter\r \r Working with this agency has been a great experience. They were extremely helpful in finding us the perfect room. My wife and I relocated here from out of town and didn’t really know the area but the people at this agency were right there to answer all of our questions. John's professionalism and good sense of humor made the experience of finding a new room a nonstressful event - even though it was pouring rain and freezing cold outside! You wont be able to look them up except by the phone number which IS THE FIRST SIGN THEY DONT HAVE A LEGIT NAME BUT THE NUMBER has never changed since its old fraud days 212 697 3962....google the number ya see what I mean! Smh I advise people to avoid this scam, at 62 East 41 st in NY,NY THE old scam was ran only a block away as you will see! more

This room agency is a total fraud 12/24/2010

This agency is a total fraud. I went there looking for a room and the guy wouldn't even talk to me unless I gave him first $150.00 registration fee. Since I was desperate, I did. It turns out that the guy has no rooms. He copies rooms info off the local newspapers and then sells it to his victims. You would be better off buying the local newspaper yourself. When I returned to his office for a refund, there were two young ladies outside telling me they got taken advantage by the same guy. Do yourself a favor, don't go there. more

I arrived from Germany on Tuesday, May 15, 2010, and immediately thereafter, visited this Room Agency in Midtown Manhattan (near Grand Central Station). Did I mention that I was slightly blown away? Was very impressed with their office, nicely configured, cutting edge. The office staff knew what the hell they were doing. Did find a nicely furnished room in a couple hours. Avoid The Man 10/19/2008

I just recently gave $150 on 10/16/08 to find me a decent size room in Brooklyn to John and for the last 3 days everything that is listed has already been rented or not available. I cannot tolerate this anymore. I recommend that anyone who comes across this man or SpaceHunters you immediatly report him. That is exactly what Im going to do before I speak with him again. Apparently John has not learned his lesson from the last suit against him. Like everyone else has said the man is rude as hell, but know this HE WILL NOT GETAWAY SO EASILY!!! NEVER WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! THAT GUY IS IN THE OFFICE BY HIMSELF ANSWERING PHONES THEY SAY U CAN VIEW YOUR ROOMS THE SAME DAY WHEN I PAID 125 CASH HE DIDNT EVEN COUNT THE MONEY HE JUST TOOK IT AND SHOWED ME MY WAY OUT THE DOOR AND SAID ""GOOD LUCK"" WHEN I ASKED IF THIS WAS A SCAM HE LAUGHED AND SAID ""HOW WILL YOU EVER KNOW?' I ASKED FOR A RECIEPT HE SAID EVEN A RECIEPT WOULDNT PROVE ANYTHING..SO I CALLED THE HOTLINE # HE GAVE ME WHICH WASNT EVEN AVAILABLE TILL THE NEXT DAY AND MOST OF THOSE #'S WERE DISCONNECTED OR THEY DIDNT HAVE ROOMS AVAILABLE. AND THEY DONT EVEN HELP YOU AND YOU ONLY HAVE 30 DAYS I GAVE UP ON THE 1ST DAY OF TRYING AFTER CALLING 100 #'S!! WITH ABSOLUTELY NO REFUND.IM VERY MAD AND DISGUSTED THEY ARE A TOTAL RIPOFF! more

What a rip-off 6/1/2008

You hand them $125 in cash and are told to call back in 2 hours. When you call back you get a recorded listing of rooms and phone numbers to call. They do not try to help set up appointments to see the places like they say on the phone. The listings you get are basically what you can get off craigslist for free. Save your money! Cons: no help, waste ofmoney more
