Fischer Plumbing

Work was sub-par and it was a clear scam. I had them move my shower head from the wall to the ceiling. They quoted around $500 which was on the high end but I was OK moving forward. They tore up my ceiling and were unable to complete the job leaving nothing but a pipe dangling from ceiling saying that I needed a contractor to complete the job. OK, I'm fine with that as well, things happen. The guy was here for 1 hour and 45 minutes and then left. I thought OK it was a good attempt and we are moving forward. But then he shows up 1 hour and 15 minutes later and I asked why was he here. He literally sat in his truck during this time outside my house in order to inflate the bill. I did not let him back in again and am currently disputing the extra hour they attempted to pad the bill with. Never again will I use these con-artists. more

This is the copied review I just left there: I Googled a few local plumbers in my area and decided to go with Ballard Plumbing. A Fischer Plumbing van shows up at my house... I am a bit confused by this as I called Ballard Plumbing. After questioning the half uniformed male who showed up at my door about who he was, he told me that they (Fischer) have bunch of other business names that they use. When I pressed the reason why they had so many names, he hesitated and said, I'm not sure sir. I asked him if I could have a second or two before he came in, he said sure. I went back into my office and did a quick BBB search (which I should have done earlier I know) on them and found out that they have an F rating. Hmm...making sense now. I went back out and confronted the "messenger" with this newly found information along with the question; what are the other names of your companies so I don't make another mistake of calling you again. He said, I only know a few; Ballard Plumbing Village Plumbing Acme Plumbing Gene Johnson East Side Plumbing Ken's Plumbing Alligator Sewer I was livid. Not only was I inconvenienced by staying home for a half of a day, but now have to wonder who the hell I'm going to get tomorrow when I call another plumber. more

Heres a crappy story. The first bid I got to fix my sewer line was 84,000 dollars, the second was 45,000, the third was 25,000, Fischer Plumbing who was the most professional did it for 13 grand. The moral to my story, get plenty of estimates before you flush thousands of dollars! more

Fischer Plumbing has excellent service and communication, and they are great when it comes to timeliness. I was apprehensive at first when I heard what the plumbers were going to do to replace all the pipes. I thought they were going to tear up the ceilings and really inconvenience me during the work. But they didn't have to go through the ceiling, and they were very careful going into the walls. They communicated very well what they were going to do. I had to move some things out of the way for them in preparation, but I moved way too much, so they offered to help move it all back. I can't say anything better about Fischer Plumbing. The two guys that worked here for me are still working in our buildings, and I hope the rest of the program will go as well. They still have to send someone to redo the sheetrock, and I have to find a painter to do the walls. I hope they will do the same type of job for the rest of my neighbors too! Richard more

Unfair billing practices... Quotes different rate than actually charged. Material costs are about 3-5x at retailers. more

On time! Worked to find a pinhead leak above our downstairs bath room and found it, fixed it with a clamp seal on old galvanized pipe. Returned and we discussed the situation - he stated your company's policy and I decided to go with the clamp seal rather have the downstairs torn up and pay hundred's of more dollars. For several days they were not forthcoming with a quote. I received a quote from another company who arrived that day, did a simple fix of the shower piping and said Fischer was trying to rip me off. Fischer Plumbing must believe people are too lazy and naïve to do a little research. Avoid Fischer Plumbing. more

I've happily used these guys for years, but when my 1912 era side sewer finally went out, backing up into my basement (yuk!) I was especially grateful for their professionalism and fast response helping with professional cleanup and replacing the line. Later, when a related issue neither of us knew about arose (another line that didn't appear on official records) they came right out and fixed that at no charge! They explain everything, clean up after themselves, are courteous and friendly, and they know what they're doing. I never even considered another plumber for this huge job because you don't want to mess around with anything as important to daily life as a properly functioning sewer line! more

I just wanted to take a little time to say thanks! The crew came out and didn't just put the water meter box back in but also filled in the dirt around it. After spending an hour filling in the upper hole, I realized how wonderful it was that they filled it in for me. I really appreciated the great job that was done, the price was reasonable, and the job done on time and as promised. That is really appreciated. Diane more

We needed them in a hurry to turn on and de-winterize all the fixtures in the house we bought. Quick, clean and noticed a toilet seal leaking. That was a lifesaver as hardwood floors were being refinished. Thanks, Armando. (I've used Fischer Plumbing before-A+) more

I was given a reasonable quote on a water tank replacement but then Barry arrived and falsely claimed I needed additional items for warranty. I agreed to some changes but the bill I received was nothing like the itemized estimate that I was not permitted to keep. Final charges greatly exceeded original authorized repair costs. more
