The area around north station is typically known for sports bars and burger joints made popular by the nearby TD Banknorth Garden (home to the Bruins and Celtics), but Anthem is the standout when it comes to more elegant dining choices. Here the tables are more formally laid out and the entrées are creative and well-prepared. Prices are low when you consider the caliber of the cuisine.
Service here is friendly and professional. The most standout dish on the menu is actually a dessert--- the fried Twinkie! Topped with berries and whipped cream, it may clog a few arteries but is well worth the consequences. You won't find anything like it anywhere else in Boston.
